global warming redux

ronald bailey at reason provides that rarest of things: a balanced overview of human-induced climate change devoid of hubris and apocalysm.

the verdict? none, i would say -- meaning that the existence of any major trend in climate of any kind is highly speculative, which is to say nothing at all about the possible cause.

i would further add that we may never know, in the rigorous scientific sense, the answer.

I once heard local weather guru Tom Skilling explain that temperature changes were related to the fact that we are still coming out of the last Ice Age. This makes as much sense as global warming.
